Talk by Julio Premat on 6 April 2022 at the University of Pittsburgh

Julio Premat is Professeur des Universités at Université Paris 8 (Vincennes-Saint Denis), and a senior researcher at the Institut Universitaire de France. At Paris 8 he directs the journal Cuadernos Li.ri.co in the Laboratoire d'Études Romanes. He is the author of La dicha de Saturno and the editor of four volumes of the working papers of Juan José Saer, the editor of a volume of the short stories of Antonio DiBenedetto, and the editor of the massive Archivos edition of Saer's Glosa and El entenado. Recent books include Érase una vez: Relatos de comienzo (2016), Non nova sed nove: Anacronismos, inactualidades y resistencias en la literatura contemporánea (2018), Borges (2018) and Qué será la vanguardia: Utopías y nostalgias en la literatura contemporánea (2021). Vanderbilt University Press recently published his first book in English, Borges: An Introduction (2021).
